As we get ready for the new school year, Montgomery Academy would like to acknowledge and thank the businesses and organizations who partnered with the Make It Real (MIR) Transition Program during the 2011-2012 school year:
- Bernardsville Library,
- Cherrybrook Premium Pet Supplies,
- CVS of Bedminster,
- Friendly’s of Bernardsville,
- Foster Fields Living Historical Farm,
- Holly Manor Nursing Home,
- Liberty Corner Computers,
- Marshalls of Bridgewater,
- Second Chance Thrift Shop,
- Shoprite of Chester,
- Somerset Hills YMCA Day Care Center,
- Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills.
Because of our community partners, students in the MIR Program have been able to gain the work experience and the confidence to ensure a smooth transition into an independent and productive life. We look forward to continuing our successful partnerships and we will also be adding additional job sites next year.
We would be remiss if we also didn’t give thanks to the volunteer sites that have helped students understand the importance of giving back to the community:
- Acorn Hall Historic Museum
- Holly Manor Nursing Home
- Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County – food drive
- Macculloch Hall Historical Museum
- Market Street Mission
- Meals on Wheels
- Neighborhood House
- Noah’s Ark – supply drive
- St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center
