Summer Programs
July of 2007 marked the first year of our well-received Extended School Year (ESY) Program. Students have a wonderful opportunity during the summer months to reinforce math, reading and social skills attained during the regular academic year. As an extension of last year’s “Ponds for Kids” project, students and teachers are planning a collaborative project to “Build a Bridge”. The continuation of our “Going Green” initiatives will include the construction of a greenhouse on campus, workshops on ecology, study of plants native to our region, and a number of associated field trips, events and recreational opportunities.
Our 2008 Extended School Year Program will be held from Monday, July 7th through Friday, August 1st (20 days) between the hours of 8:30 and 12:30. Rotating segments of our transition and career exploration curriculum will be provided in landscaping, clerical, multimedia and building maintenance. Most of all, our ESY program offers a great way for students to stay connected with their classmates and teachers in a fun and creative format. For more information about our ESY program, please call us at 908-234-2840.
