Advocacy

Montgomery Academy’s philosophy incorporates LSCI, which provides staff a roadmap through conflict to desired outcomes using crisis as an opportunity to teach and create positive relationships with youth.

ASAH believes parents are the best advocates for children with disabilities. Since its inception in 1974, the association has worked to provide accurate information and meaningful support to help parents do what is best for their children.

NAPSEC, The National Association of Private Special Education Centers is a non-profit association whose mission is to represent private special education centers and their leaders.

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
